Ameen Azhar – A Decade of Excellence in Media, Event Production & Live Streaming
With more than a decade of experience in the field of media and event production, Ameen Azhar has built a distinguished career as a Production Executive at Capital Maharaja Group’s News First, one of Sri Lanka’s most respected media networks. His journey reflects dedication, creativity, and a passion for delivering productions that inspire and engage audiences.

Over the years, Ameen has taken the lead in organizing and producing some of Sri Lanka’s most prestigious award ceremonies. Among his notable achievements are three editions of the United Nations–organized V Awards, which celebrate individuals making outstanding contributions to society. His ability to manage large-scale productions with precision and innovation has earned him recognition within the industry.

At News First, he has successfully organized and produced more than 50 indoor and outdoor award ceremonies, including the prominent U-Report Eagle Awards, which highlight youth engagement and social responsibility. He has also been the creative force behind three editions of V-Force, another impactful initiative by News First.

Expanding beyond award productions, Ameen has also made his mark in sports media. He has served as a main live streamer for social media coverage of Sri Lankan cricket’s major club tournaments organized by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC). This role further demonstrates his versatility in handling high-profile live productions that reach wide audiences both locally and internationally.

Academically, Ameen holds a BSc (Hons) Degree in Computing and has pursued undergraduate studies in Information Technology. His technical knowledge complements his production expertise, allowing him to merge creativity with innovation in today’s fast-evolving digital media landscape.
